Ronald William Neel, 83, of Loretto, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at his home. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army, serving for 3 years and 14 months in Korea. Ronald was an active member of the Loretto Masonic Lodge, where he served as Master for 3 years. He was also a dedicated member of the Latter Day Saints Church. Ronald retired as a construction worker from the Millwright Union 1555 of Nashville, TN. He enjoyed fishing, playing golf, and traveling.
Ronald is survived by his son, Tony W. Neel, and daughter, Mia Y. Dishongh, both of Loretto, TN, as well as his sisters, Sharleen Anderson of St. George, UT, and Barbara Brooks (Jim) of Henefer, UT. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and his longtime friend, Randy Milliken.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest W. Neel and Wilma F. Neel, his wife, Mable A. Neel, and his sister, Patty Sue Lewis.
Funeral services will be held at Loretto Memorial Chapel on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at 1:00 pm, with burial to follow in Loretto Memorial Gardens. Military honors will be presented at the graveside. Visitation will be held from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on the same day at Loretto Memorial Chapel.
Ronald will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He will be remembered for his service to his country, his dedication to his community, and his love for his family and friends. May he rest in peace.
