Travis Harold Coleman, known affectionately as “Chad” and “Bo”, passed away on October 25, 2025, at the age of 78, surrounded by his loving wife. Chad proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for over 20 years, where he was a part of the Special Investigations and Counter Intelligence unit and held the position of Senior Enlisted in the Office of Special Investigations at the detachment at Barksdale AFB. He was a decorated veteran, having received numerous awards and medals for his dedicated service.
Following his retirement from the Air Force, Chad continued his commitment to public service by joining the Caddo Parish, Louisiana Coroner’s Office as an investigator and later the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Department, where he served for over 20 years. He was a member of the Martin McClanahan No. 384 F.&A.M. Lodge of the Grand Lodge of Louisiana and attended the FBI National Academy.
Chad was a devoted family man, cherishing his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He had a passion for Harley motorcycles, poker, Mardi Gras, and German Shepherds. He was also a dedicated Tennessee Vols fan.
Chad is survived by his wife, Juanita L. Coleman; son James T. Coleman; stepchildren Tammy (David) Martin, Jeffrey (Lynn) Hallford, Tanya (Ron) Hendrix; eight grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Canara Louise Coleman and James Travis Coleman, his late wife Patricia Coleman, a son Danny Cokor, and a granddaughter Mikhaela Cokor.
A graveside service and interment with full military honors will be held at Leoma Cemetery on Thursday, October 30, 2025. Condolences may be sent through the Neal Funeral Home website. Chad’s legacy of service and love for his family will be cherished and remembered by all who knew him.
