Last week, six tornadoes were confirmed in Middle Tennessee.

In a recent report by the National Weather Service, it has been confirmed that an EF2 tornado swept through Giles County on Wednesday. This tornado is one of six tornadoes that have been confirmed in Middle Tennessee, affecting various counties including Maury, Robertson, Benton, Rutherford, and Lincoln.

The tornado that hit Giles County had a path width of 600 yards and traveled a distance of 5.7 miles. A total of 22 homes were assessed in the area, with 7 homes being categorized as destroyed, 8 suffering major damage, 4 with minor damage, and 3 homes affected in some way. There was one reported injury, and the individual was promptly transported to Huntsville Hospital for medical attention.

Additionally, the National Weather Service also confirmed the touchdown of an EF1 tornado with wind speeds of 105 miles per hour northeast of Ardmore. This tornado traveled over six miles before dissipating southwest of Fayetteville. The tornado’s path width was equivalent to 1.5 times the size of a football field.
