In celebration of Litter Awareness Month this April, the City of Columbia is excited to launch its Clean Up Columbia initiative. This campaign highlights the importance of community engagement, education, and proactive efforts in creating a cleaner and more sustainable environment for all residents. To facilitate this mission, the city is collaborating with local organizations such as Keep Maury Beautiful and the Triple C’s to organize two significant events.
The first event, dedicated to the East Columbia Clean-Up, is scheduled for Saturday, April 12th, and will take place from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the county parking lot located at the intersection of East 7th Street and Woodland Street. Following this, the second clean-up event will occur on Saturday, April 26th, also from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM, at the Maury County Public Library. Participating in these events offers a wonderful opportunity for residents to engage with their community while contributing to the cleanliness and beauty of their hometown.
