Accident Occurs Wednesday Afternoon

On Wednesday evening, just after 6:30 PM, emergency responders from Lawrence County Fire Rescue were called to the scene of a serious motor vehicle accident on Henryville Road, near Long Road. Initial reports indicated that one of the vehicles involved was engulfed in flames and that individuals were trapped inside.

Upon arrival, the first responders encountered a two-car collision. They discovered one individual severely pinned within one of the vehicles, while another person was found lying on the ground next to the second vehicle. Both individuals were assessed and classified as critical. In response to the severity of the situation, two air medical helicopters were summoned to the location to assist with the urgent medical needs. Meanwhile, rescue personnel focused on the challenging task of extricating the trapped individual. Additionally, the Tennessee Highway Patrol was present at the scene to manage the situation.
