Prue Davis Mitchell Kelley, 81, of Killen, AL, passed away on October 12, 2025, at Lauderdale Christian Nursing Home. Prue was a dedicated homemaker, substitute teacher, Bible class teacher, artist, and a committed volunteer in various ministries and organizations. She was a member of Centerhill Church of Christ and had a heart for serving others.
Prue is survived by her children: Jerry Glen Mitchell, Jr. (Melissa), Lorinda Mitchell Snoddy (Eric), and Jonathan Mitchell; grandchildren: Patrick Wilson, Loren Mitchell Coan (Kade), Justin Mitchell (Kaylie), Jake Mitchell, and Erica (Meira) Snoddy; great-grandchildren: Amelie (Millie) Coan, Adelin (Addie) Coan, and Huntley Mitchell; and siblings: Judy Swinea (Roy), Marion (Sonny) Thomas Davis, Jr. (Brenda), Joan E. Davis, Melvin Davis, and Frances Haggermaker (Doug).
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Jerry G. Mitchell, Sr. and Lee Roy Kelley, as well as her parents, Tommie Davis and Susie Elizabeth Davis, and siblings Brenda Kay Thompson, Joyce Davis, and William Davis.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14, from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Greenhill Funeral Home, with the funeral service taking place on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. in the funeral home chapel. Prue will be laid to rest in North Carolina Cemetery. Greenhill Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
