On Wednesday, October 23rd, a man was taken into custody in Lawrenceburg following a call regarding an unwanted individual on private property. The suspect, identified as Bobby Lovell, was already under probation for a previous charge of aggravated burglary. The Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office, in conjunction with the Lawrenceburg Fire Department and the Emergency Operations Center, worked together to locate Lovell.
During the apprehension attempt, Lovell reportedly resisted arrest, declaring that he would not go back to jail without a fight. However, the situation was effectively managed with the help of hostage negotiator CID Ray Chavez, who utilized a drone to assist in locating him. Ultimately, authorities were successful in taking Lovell into custody. As a result of this incident, he now faces new charges, including assaulting a police officer and multiple counts of evading arrest, in addition to his existing charges related to probation violation and evading arrest.
