The Lawrence County Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition is gearing up for its 2nd Annual Camp Thrive Back to School Resource Day, scheduled for July 19, 2025. This event aims to provide essential resources for students as they prepare to return to school. The coalition is eager to reconnect with volunteers who generously contributed their time and resources last year, while also seeking new individuals to join their efforts.
To ensure the success of this initiative, the program is actively looking for sponsors who can assist in one of three ways. Organizations are encouraged to donate bulk items suitable for inclusion in backpacks, contribute brand-new backpacks from recognized brands such as Suede Campus or JanSport US, or provide a monetary donation of $100 to sponsor a child in need.
For those interested in participating or who have any inquiries regarding the event, please reach out to Nicole Miller, the Assistant Director of the Drug Endangered Children / LCSAP Coalition. She can be contacted via email at [email protected] or by phone at 931-242-8006. Your support can make a significant difference in the lives of local students as they embark on a new academic year.
