On Friday morning, a man who had dialed 911 and made threats against his ex-girlfriend prompted a significant response from law enforcement in Limestone County. The incident unfolded near the intersection of Highway 99 and Edgewood Road, where deputies from the sheriff’s office initiated a pursuit on foot after the suspect fled the scene.
To aid in the search efforts, a K-9 unit was deployed alongside a drone team, enhancing the resources available to locate the individual. The suspect, who has been identified as Caleb Justin Chriswell, was ultimately found and taken into custody approximately one mile away from where the chase began.
As a result of his actions, Chriswell faces charges that include false reporting and attempting to evade law enforcement. Authorities have indicated that further charges may be considered as the investigation continues.
