On the evening of yesterday, at precisely 10:05 PM, units from the Maury County Fire Department were dispatched to a vehicle fire on Interstate 65, specifically at the 47.4-mile marker heading northbound. The response team included Squad 32, Engine 21, OPS 20, and Chief 20. Upon arrival, it was determined that the vehicle in question was a truck loaded with tires. Fortunately, witnesses reported that there were no individuals inside or in close proximity to the burning vehicle.
As a result of the truck fire, a small brush fire ignited nearby. However, the fire crews were able to effectively manage and extinguish both blazes without further incident. Meanwhile, the Tennessee Highway Patrol is currently investigating the situation and is considering the possibility that the truck may have been stolen prior to the fire.
