The Lawrence County Chamber is thrilled to announce the return of the National Civics Bee, scheduled for March 14th, 2025. This year’s event is generously sponsored by the Lawrence County Citizen’s Bank, highlighting the community’s commitment to fostering civic engagement among its youth.
As part of the preparation for this exciting competition, the Chamber is currently accepting essay submissions from local students until February 4th. This initiative provides an excellent platform for the bright and talented youth of Lawrence County to showcase their understanding of civics and express their perspectives on important issues.
Moreover, the stakes are high this year, as finalists from the local competition may have the opportunity to travel to Washington, DC, in the fall of 2025 to participate in the National Civics Bee championship. Following the success of last year’s event, the City of Lawrenceburg is eagerly anticipating the creativity and enthusiasm that this year’s participants will bring to the table.
