On February 13th, the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC) proudly announced the induction of Magotteaux Inc., located in Pulaski, into the Tennessee Green Star Partnership. This esteemed program recognizes manufacturers throughout the state that are committed to environmental stewardship and continuous operational enhancement.
Magotteaux operates a dual-use foundry that caters to the aggregate, mining, and cement industries. With a presence in 21 countries across six continents, the company boasts a total of 25 facilities worldwide. Notably, the Pulaski location stands out as the only site in North America that produces both grinding balls and castings.
The Pulaski facility has achieved four distinct International Organization for Standardization (ISO) certifications, including ISO 14001, which specifically acknowledges superior environmental performance. This site has also initiated various projects that reflect its dedication to sustainable practices. To qualify for the Tennessee Green Star Partnership, manufacturers must maintain an ISO 14001 certification or operate an ISO 14001-compliant environmental management system. Furthermore, they must have demonstrated outstanding ecological compliance with TDEC for a minimum of three years.
