Amy Jennifer Byrd, born in Tampa, Florida in 1974, passed away, leaving behind a legacy of love for dogs, music, and the color purple. Amy’s formative years were spent in Decatur, Alabama, where she attended high school and later studied at Calhoun Community College. She eventually settled in Lawrence County, Tennessee, where she built her adult life.
Amy is survived by her parents, Scott and Dianne, her sister, Kim, and her husband Tim. She also leaves behind her two children, Arlow and Wesley, and her grandson, River. Although her relationship with her children was complicated, the memories they shared will endure.
A memorial service will be held at a later time. Pettus-Turnbo Funeral Home is privileged to be assisting the family during this difficult time. Amy will be remembered for her love of dogs, music, and the color purple, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
