Carey Layne Edwards, 66, of Lawrenceburg, TN, passed away on February 17, 2025, at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, TN. Born in Alaska, she was a dedicated cook for the Kenaitze Tribe. Carey was preceded in death by her father, John J. Coveyou, and mother, Gertrude Segura Frostad. She is survived by her loving husband, Hugh John Edwards II; daughter, Jamie Okane; sons, Jarrod Edwards, John Taylor, and Jeffery Taylor; and eleven cherished grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Virginia Fraase of Kenai, AK. The arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to a memorial fund. Carey will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
