Charles Nelson Williams, 86, of Lawrenceburg, TN, passed away on January 22, 2026, at NHC Healthcare Lawrenceburg after a prolonged illness. Charles was a proud veteran of the United States National Guard, achieving the rank of Private First Class E3. He retired from Murray Ohio and was the owner of A1 Upholstery. Charles was a devoted member of Liberty Grove Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held at Loretto Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at 1:00 pm, followed by burial at Liberty Grove Cemetery. Visitation will take place from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on the same day at Loretto Memorial Chapel.
Charles is survived by his loving wife, Margie Sue Cockrell Williams of Lawrenceburg, TN; daughter Sabra Williams Cleveland (Troy) of Loretto, TN; brothers Gene Williams (Betty) and David Williams (Linda) of Lexington, AL; grandchildren Coty Giles (Anna) of Loretto, TN, and Brandon Giles of Lawrenceburg, TN; and seven great-grandchildren: Declan, Liam, Aislinn, and Ridge Giles, as well as Mia Kilburn, Navy Giles, and Jacee Giles.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Lucy Ann Parker Williams, and 10 siblings.
Charles will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his service to his country, and his commitment to his community. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
