Geneva Marston Wilburn, age 99, of Prospect, passed away on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at Keestone at Hewitt House. Geneva was born in Lawrence Co., TN on July 22, 1926, to Bertram and Nancy Boone Marston. She was a big-hearted LPN who loved working for Dr. Haney and retired from Physicians and Surgeons. Geneva also found joy in cooking, quilting, and was a dedicated member of Liberty Methodist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Bertram and Nancy Marston; her husband, WD Wilburn; her sons, Daniel and Andrew Wilburn; and her siblings, Lacy Gibbs, Earl Marston, Jerry Marston, Ethel Wynn Marston, and Emma Marston Henderson.
Visitation will be held from 10-12pm on Monday, August 4, 2025, at Carr and Erwin Funeral Home, with Funeral Services following at 12pm Noon. Interment will follow in Maplewood Cemetery.
Geneva is survived by her grandchildren, John David Wilburn of Prospect, Katie Warlick (John) of Lascassas, TN, Corey Wilburn (Hope) of Norene, TN; and great-grandchildren, W.D Wilburn, Peyton Warlick, Harper Wilburn, and Houston Warlick. She was a loving aunt to many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
