JoAnn Fowler, 83, of St. Joseph, TN, passed away June 7, 2024 at NAMC in Florence, Al after a lengthy illness.
JoAnn retired from TVA after 40+ years as a Communications Specialist. She was a founding member, on the Board Directors and Vice President of Hope Botanical Garden since 2017. She loved wildflowers and beautiful gardens. JoAnn’s vision of cultivating a public garden will live on in the beauty of Hope Botanical Garden.
Per her wishes she was cremated.
Visitation will be Saturday, June 22, 2024 from 2:30 to 3:00 at Greenhill Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life will follow in the chapel with Jerry Clayton officiating. Visitation with family will follow afterwards.
Preceded in death by parents: Buford A. and Mary Lou Atwell Fowler, Sister: Dorothy Sue Gist, Sister in Law: Bonnie Fowler, Nashville, Tn.
Survived by Brothers: Jimmy (Pam) Fowler, Loretto, Tn. and William Fowler, Nashville, Tn.
Many loving cousins, nieces, nephews, caring friends and extended family.
Also her “TVA Girls” that grew up working together at TVA and had remained very close friends.
The family would like to thank her caregivers Lisa Ezell, Susan McGee and Rona Perry.
The family extends special thanks to the doctors and nurses in the Critical Care Unit at NAMC for their excellent care.
