Shirley Joann “Anne” Thompson, 73, of Lawrenceburg, TN, passed away on Thursday, October 2nd, 2025 at her home. Born on August 18th, 1952, in Nashville, TN, Anne proudly served her country in the United States Army as a nurse during the Vietnam Era and The Gulf War Era. She enjoyed being a mother and a dog mother, watching TV, shopping, and spending time with her loving family and friends. Anne is survived by her children, Greg Shedd (Alicia) and Christa Shedd Downes; grandchild, Bradley Randall; siblings, Kenneth Bradley, Fred Bradley, Ricky Bradley, Sarita Greer, and Sue Fisher; and beloved canine companions, Lana, Scruffy, Annie, Bella, and Duke. The memorial service will be announced at a later date. Pettus-Turnbo Funeral Home is honored to be handling all final arrangements.
