Johnny Carden, a devoted father, loving partner, and cherished “Pops,” passed away on December 28, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Woodrow Carden and Nellie Jean Robertson Carden. Johnny is survived by his beloved partner, Tana Compton, and his children: Adam Carden (Breanna), Josh Carden, Zac Carden (Stacy), and Morgan Spohn (Eric). He is also survived by his siblings, Jerry Carden (Christine), Randy Carden (Judy), and Joan Carden Marston (David), as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
Johnny was a proud graduate of Florence State College and later earned a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the Nashville School of Law. He had a successful career that took him all over the United States, making a lasting impact on countless lives.
He was known for his love of travel, his passion for reading, and his unwavering support for his family. Johnny was a dedicated and competitive tennis player, winning many local and regional tournaments and earning high seeding on the team. He was also a die-hard Kentucky basketball fan and found great joy in following Lawrence County sports.
Affectionately known as “Pops,” Johnny was a man who truly lived for others, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and cherished memories that will forever live in the hearts of his family and friends.
A private service will be held for immediate family to honor Johnny’s life and legacy.
