Margarita “Maggie” Ibarra Ochoa, 87, of Ethridge, TN, passed away on Friday, May 30th, 2025 at NHC Healthcare in Lawrenceburg, TN. Margarita was born on March 7th, 1938 in Mazatlan, Sinaloa, Mexico to the late Pedro Ibarra Payan and Carmen Ibarra Ochoa. She worked as a payroll clerk for Pacific Bell in San Diego, CA from 1973 to 1993. After retiring, she returned to Mazatlan to enjoy her best years. She was proud to be a “Mazatleca” and enjoyed cooking, crafts, nature, sharing moon phases with her granddaughters, laughing with friends, and her love of baseball, particularly watching the Braves and Padres.
Margarita is survived by her children, Juan Bernardo Navarrete (Debra Padilla) and Marcela Navarrete; grandchildren, Daniela Navarrete, Joel Navarrete, Hannah Crowe, Henry Crowe, and Augustine Crowe; great grandchildren, Aileen Osorio, Davian Perez, and Valerie Perez; special friends, Teresa and John Markey, Maria Elena Covarrubias, and Sandra Guarin.
A memorial service for Ms. Margarita Ibarra Ochoa will be held in Mazatlan at a later date.
