Marina “Rene” McIntear, 89, of St. Joseph, TN, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on May 4, 1935, in Waynesboro, TN, Marina lived a life full of love, laughter, and limitless generosity. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, whose greatest joy was her family. Marina’s vibrant spirit and love for life will be forever cherished by her family and all who knew her.
Marina’s legacy of love and resilience will be carried on by her daughters Clara Zierer (Jim), Vicki Blalock (David), Shirley Mason, and Melba McLaughlin, as well as her brothers, sisters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin McIntear, parents, Willie & Velma Kelley Brewer, daughter Linda Fisher, granddaughter Desha Boggan, grandson Stanley Blalock, and son-in-law Pete Mason.
Marina’s celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at 3:00 pm at Loretto Memorial Chapel with burial to follow in Mt. Nebo cemetery. Her spirit will live on in the laughter of her loved ones, the stories her family will tell, and the lives she touched. Loretto Memorial Chapel is assisting the family.
