Memorial Day Shutdowns and Restrictions

As the Memorial Day holiday approaches, several area offices are preparing to close their doors on Monday to honor the occasion. The City of Lawrenceburg has announced that its offices will be closed, leading to a rescheduling of Monday’s residential garbage cart pick up to Thursday.

Similarly, the City of Loretto will also be closing its offices on Monday. Residents should note that the residential garbage pickup for Monday will now take place on Wednesday. Meanwhile, the City of Florence Municipal Offices will observe the holiday by closing on Monday, but there will be no changes to the residential garbage and recycling collection schedule.

In addition to these closures, Lawrence County offices will also be shut on Monday. This closure extends to the Solid Waste Transfer Station, as well as the Lawrence County and Loretto libraries. Residents are advised to plan accordingly for any services affected by these closures.

Furthermore, Lawrenceburg Utility Systems and Pulaski Electric System will join in observing the Memorial Day holiday by remaining closed on Monday. It is recommended that customers of these utilities make any necessary arrangements ahead of time to accommodate for the closures.
