Terry Dwayne Hughes, 81, of Pulaski, Tennessee, passed away on April 10th, 2025, at Southern Tennessee Regional Hospital. Born on April 30th, 1943, in Pulaski, Tennessee, Terry was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was a member of Second Street Church of Christ and a passionate supporter of local sports. Terry worked at Sunshine Cleaners and the Giles County Highway Department, retiring as a mechanic.
Terry is survived by his daughter, Tancy Hughes, and son, Troy (Andrea) Hughes, both of Pulaski, Tennessee. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Clay Hughes, Victoria (Trillion) Marks, Courtney (Blake) Gowan, and A.J. (Alysa) Pettus Jr. Terry was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Eva Crabtree Hughes, his wife, Coach Royce Hughes, and brother, Jerry Hughes. He is also survived by his brother, Pat (Cindy) Hughes of Murfreesboro, TN, and sister-in-law, Gayle Hughes of Nashville, TN.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 12th, 2025, from 11:00am to 1:00pm at Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory, followed by a funeral service at 1:00pm in the chapel. The burial will take place at Maplewood Cemetery in Pulaski, Tennessee. Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements for Terry Hughes.
