Larry “Butch” Smith, 63, of Pulaski, Tennessee, passed away on April 9th, 2025, surrounded by his loving family in Nashville, Tennessee. Born on April 10th, 1961, in Conway, SC, Butch was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He was an enthusiastic outdoorsman who enjoyed golfing, fishing, and cheering on the Tennessee Volunteers. Butch also had a mischievous side and took pleasure in teasing those around him. He proudly served in the United States Navy.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, April 13th, 2025, from 3:00pm to 6:00pm at Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory. The funeral service will take place on Monday, April 14th, 2025, at 11:00am in the chapel of Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home, followed by burial in Giles Memory Cemetery in Pulaski, Tennessee.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to St. Jude’s. Butch was preceded in death by his parents, Larry and Patricia Smith. He is survived by his wife, Kim Smith of Pulaski, TN; daughter, Brittany Holt of Pulaski, TN; son, Cody Holt of Pulaski, TN; grandson, Harley Hasting of Pulaski, TN; sisters, Tina (Don) Haney and Sandy (Joe) Young, both of Pulaski, TN; and father-in-law, Billy Joe Clifton of Pulaski, TN. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
