In early 2025, the Vice/Narcotics Unit of the Decatur Police Department initiated an investigation following numerous reports of drug-related activities occurring at two residences in the area. As the inquiry progressed, authorities identified 37-year-old Brandon Lamar Gladney, a Decatur resident, as the primary suspect in the case.
To further their investigation, law enforcement officials secured search warrants for both properties in question. On February 26, 2025, they executed these warrants and made contact with Gladney. During the searches of the homes, investigators uncovered a significant quantity of illegal substances, including cannabis, cocaine, and spice. Additionally, they seized multiple firearms that had been reported stolen, various narcotics paraphernalia, and a substantial amount of cash.
As a result of these findings, Gladney now faces serious charges, including two counts of trafficking illegal drugs, two counts of receiving stolen property in the second degree, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He has been held on a bond set at $141,000.
