A man from Florence has been taken into custody following an incident involving inappropriate behavior towards a woman at a local market on Wednesday evening. According to reports, the victim stated that the suspect entered the Mapco convenience store located on Cox Creek Parkway at approximately 10 p.m. During his time in the store, he approached her while she was in the drink cooler area and made an attempt to kiss and grope her.
The individual, identified as 59-year-old Bryan King, was arrested the following day, Thursday, and is facing charges of first-degree sexual abuse. He has since been processed and is currently being held at the Lauderdale County Detention Center. The authorities are continuing their investigation into the matter.
