On Tuesday, law enforcement officials from the Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Office apprehended two individuals from Tuscumbia for their involvement in selling stolen goods on Facebook Marketplace. The merchandise in question had been taken from a storage unit located in Lexington.
To address the situation, investigators orchestrated a sting operation that led to the capture of the suspects at the very storage facility where the stolen items were being kept. The arrested individuals, identified as 46-year-old Pamela Faye Rich and 44-year-old Shane Duane Staggs, now face two counts of first-degree theft of property. Both have been placed in custody with bonds set at $60,000 each.
Authorities have indicated that further charges may be forthcoming as the investigation continues.
