Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department Carries Out Service of Process

In a recent incident, the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department conducted a serving process at the intersection of Lonestar Road and Gimlet Road. Upon their arrival, the individual in question, identified as Carl Bell, made a swift attempt to escape, which resulted in deputies losing track of him.

Upon further investigation of the surrounding property, officers discovered a variety of structures, including several campers, sheds, and various other items that could have provided Bell with a place to hide. After an extensive search lasting approximately thirty minutes, deputies located Bell concealed within a shed that was connected to a trailer. He was found hiding beneath what appeared to be a table and chairs.

As a result of this encounter, Bell was taken into custody for an outstanding warrant related to a Violation of Probation. In addition to this charge, he was also charged with Evading Arrest. Following his arrest, Bell was subsequently transported to the Lawrence County Jail for processing.
