Lawrenceburg Fire Department Tackles Blaze on Beckham Avenue

On the evening of Thursday, December 18, at around 8:20 p.m., the Lawrenceburg Fire Department was dispatched to a residential fire on Beckham Avenue. Initial assessments suggested that the blaze was significant, with reports indicating that one resident was unaccounted for. Upon their arrival, firefighters were met with intense flames and smoke, prompting them to initiate a transitional attack strategy.

As the firefighting team prepared to enter the structure, it was confirmed that the missing occupant was safe and located at a different site. This crucial information allowed the firefighters to focus on extinguishing the fire without the added concern for the individual’s safety. The crew engaged in extensive interior firefighting efforts and worked diligently on ventilation to manage the hazardous conditions within the home.

After a prolonged battle with the flames, the fire was eventually brought under control. Following the successful suppression of the fire, the scene was handed over to the Lawrenceburg Fire Marshal’s Office, which will conduct an investigation to determine the cause of the incident. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries associated with the fire.

In addition to the Lawrenceburg Fire Department, assistance was provided by the Ethridge Fire Department and the New Prospect Fire Department. Meanwhile, the Cross Roads Fire Department stepped in to cover other emergency calls during this incident, ensuring continued safety for the community.
