A tragic incident occurred on Sunday night, resulting in the death of a Leighton resident. According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), 23-year-old Jaheim Q. Greene sustained severe injuries when the motorcycle he was riding, a 2013 Honda CRF450R, collided with a 2022 Ford Mustang. The Mustang was operated by an 18-year-old individual from Muscle Shoals.
The collision took place around 7:20 p.m. on Jarmon Lane, close to Jarmon Trail, which is situated approximately four miles west of Leighton in Colbert County. Following the crash, Greene was ejected from his motorcycle and subsequently transported to North Alabama Regional Hospital for medical attention. Unfortunately, despite efforts to save him, he later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
ALEA has reported that Greene was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash is ongoing, with Troopers from ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division actively looking into the details. Further information will be released as it becomes available.
