In Limestone County, a burglary incident on Ripley Road has culminated in the apprehension of 44-year-old Christi Lynn Tellez, a resident of Athens. Eyewitnesses recounted seeing Tellez wield a weapon as she shattered a window to gain access to the residence. During the break-in, she incurred an injury, which resulted in a blood trail being left behind inside the home.
After stealing multiple items from the property, Tellez fled the scene. Law enforcement’s investigation subsequently led them to her location in the Owens community, where she was taken into custody. Tellez now faces charges of second-degree burglary and is currently being held at the Limestone County Detention Center.
