Loretto Police Department Arrests Suspect on Drug-Related Charges

On December 16th, law enforcement agencies, including the St. Joseph Police Department and the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department, collaborated with the Loretto Police Department to carry out a search warrant at a residence located at 104 Beartown Road in Loretto. During this operation, officers discovered multiple bags believed to contain methamphetamine, along with suboxone strips, scales, packaging materials, pipes, tooter straws, and firearms.

As a result of the findings, Billy Jay Bivens is facing several charges, including possession of Schedule II Meth with intent to distribute, possession of Schedule III Suboxone, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a firearm while engaged in a felony. These charges were brought forth following an investigation by the Lawrence County Grand Jury. Additionally, Cody Rex Parker is also facing charges related to meth possession and possession of drug paraphernalia.
