Missing Child Located Safely; Suspect Taken into Custody in Ardmore

A child who was the subject of an Amber Alert has been safely recovered, and the individual suspected of involvement has been apprehended, thanks to a coordinated effort that took place early Thursday morning.

Around 8:00 a.m., a team comprising agents from the FBI, U.S. Marshals Service, and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation successfully located and arrested Aaron Williams at the Rodeway Inn in Ardmore, Tennessee. The missing child, identified as Jibreel Harun, was found in the company of Williams and was reported to be in good health following the incident.

Following his arrest, Williams was transported by the Giles County Sheriff’s Office to the Giles County Jail. He is currently being held on a fugitive from justice warrant and is awaiting extradition back to Alabama.

Authorities have praised the effective collaboration among local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies, which played a crucial role in the successful resolution of this case.
