In a recent development, the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office concluded January with a significant drug-related arrest. On January 27th, a deputy from the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office conducted a routine stop on West Gaines Street in Lawrenceburg due to an expired registration and a violation of light laws.
During the interaction with the driver, the deputy detected a strong odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle. Further inspection revealed the presence of a scale with white crystal residue on it. A thorough search of the vehicle uncovered an envelope containing $2251 in cash, a Savage .243 rifle, and a baggy with remnants of a crystal-like substance.
Subsequently, Jake Osborne was taken into custody. Osborne now faces multiple charges, including possession of Schedule II substances for resale, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. The Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office remains committed to upholding the law and ensuring the safety of the community.
