Betty Faye Konig Shrader, 84, of Summertown, TN, passed away on March 5, 2025, at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, TN. Betty was a beloved member of Barnesville Baptist Church and a talented self-employed seamstress at Granny’s Quilts. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Mildred Lucille Konig, her husband Albert Shrader, Jr, two daughters, Christy Lynn Shrader Buie and Donna Fisher, three brothers, Gene, Dewey, and Gerry Konig, and one sister, Patricia Bruhn.
Betty is survived by her three sons, Art McCormack, Doyle Shrader, and Johnny Shrader of Summertown, TN, one daughter, Wanda Hargate of Illinois, six brothers, Dean Konig, Kenneth Konig, Larry Konig, Jimmy Konig, Ted Konig, and Steve Konig, and five sisters, Sue Lynn Nelson, Beverly Davenport, Debbie Dial, Ernestine Curtis, and Annette Long. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, and the family will receive friends at Barnesville Baptist Church on Saturday, March 8, 2025. Funeral services will be conducted at Barnesville Baptist Church on Sunday, March 9, 2025, with interment to follow at Barnesville Cemetery in Summertown, TN. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the church in Betty’s memory.
