Danny Joe Olive, 65, of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away on June 10th, 2025, at his residence in Las Vegas. Danny was born in Scottsboro, Alabama, and was the son of Herschel Olive and Betty Killingsworth Olive. He is survived by his sister, Sandra Brunton, who is married to Randy Brunton, and his three brothers, Willard Pendergrass, Mark Olive, who is married to Peggy Olive, and Jamie Olive, who is married to Sabrina Olive.
Danny graduated from North Newton High School in 1978 in Morocco, Indiana. He had several children, including Bradley Olive, who is married to Phillica Olive; Melissa Olive Funderburk, who is married to Ronny Funderburk; Rebekah Snyder, who is married to Randy Snyder; and Renee Olive, who is in a relationship with Aaron Sauter. He also had seven beloved grandchildren.
Danny worked as a butcher at IGA in Lake Village, Indiana, and continued his career as a butcher and manager at Sam’s Club until retirement. He was a member of Southern Hills church in Las Vegas, Nevada, and enjoyed singing in the choir.
Visitation will be Monday, June 23, 2025, and the funeral service will follow at Greenhill Funeral Home. Burial will be in Railroad Cemetery in Iron City, TN. Pallbearers will be Mark Olive, Jamie Olive, Randy Brunton, Brenner Derr, Ronny Funderbunk, and Randy Snyder.
