Darlene Adams, age 79, of Pulaski, passed away on Sunday, October 19, 2025, at Maury Regional Medical Center. She was born in Giles County, TN, on January 1, 1946, to Lilburn Elwood and Mable Chambers Baxter. Darlene was a former employee of W. E. Stephens and found joy in working in the yard and watching cooking shows. However, her greatest love was her family. She was a devoted wife to her husband of 53 years, Gene Adams, and cherished spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Darlene is preceded in death by her parents, Lilburn and Mable Baxter, her husband Gene Adams, her brother Buddy Baxter, and her sisters Faye Chambers and Robbie Williams. She is survived by her sons, Tommy Adams (Tracy) of Fayetteville, Larry Adams (Pam) of Decatur, AL, her daughters Kelly Adams Newton (Mark) of Clarksville, and Amy Adams Hamlett (Tony) of Pulaski. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Hunter, Kristian, Klint, Austin, Amanda, Tommy Ray, Shelby, Brandi, Wesley, and Ali, as well as 18 great-grandchildren. Darlene is also survived by her sisters, Geneva Thornton (Jimmy) of Minor Hill, Dorothy Hood of Pulaski, Carolyn Stay (Mickey) of Minor Hill, and Hazel Moore of Lester, AL, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at Carr and Erwin Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 11 am on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at Carr and Erwin Funeral Home, with interment to follow in Minor Hill Cemetery. Carr and Erwin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Darlene will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
