Harley Edward Simbeck Sr., age 95, of Loretto, TN, passed away on Monday, May 11, 2026, after a brief illness. A native of Lawrence County, he was a retired United States Air Force veteran who served in the Korean War. Harley had a distinguished career as the principal of Loretto High School and was an active member of the Loretto Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He also dedicated over 40 years to the Loretto Lions Club and served as a member of the Lawrence County School Board for 16 years.
Harley is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings.
Funeral services will be held at Loretto Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Monday, May 18, 2026, at 11:00 am. Visitation will take place from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm on May 17, 2026, with a Rosary service at 5:00 pm. Burial will follow at Loretto Sacred Heart Cemetery.
