Jerry Elvin Staggs, age 78, of Loretto, TN, passed away on Monday, May 11, 2026, after an extended illness. He was a veteran of the United States Marines, having served in Vietnam. Jerry retired from TVA Browns Ferry and was a devoted Christian.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Von Killen Staggs; children, Terry Staggs, Sherry Staggs, and Butch Staggs; siblings, Ann Pettus and Nancy Hollis.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, though their names were not provided.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Loretto Memorial Chapel in Loretto, TN. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at 11:00 AM, followed by burial in Fairview Cemetery with military honors.
