Joan Kay Gist, 76, of Florence, AL, passed away on March 21, 2025, at Ascension Saint Thomas West in Nashville, TN. Joan was a Christian, lifelong florist, passionate baker, and cherished her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Alton Mitchell and Corrine Mitchell.
Joan is survived by her son, Charles Alton Gist; daughter, Kimberly Diane Gist; grandchildren, Briana Gist and Shelby Gist; and their father, Curt Rock.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Greenhill Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes memorial contributions to the Suzan G. Komen cancer foundation in Joan’s honor.
