Janice May Cole Canerday, 77, of Killen, AL, passed away on January 11, 2026. Janice was a dedicated worker at Killen Drug Store and had also been involved in various retail positions. She was a cherished member of Atlas Church of Christ.
Janice is survived by her son Barry Canerday and daughter-in-law Michelle, her brother Erpha Cole, sisters Frances Wight and Hazel Green, as well as her grandchildren Isaac Canerday and Ceileigh Canerday. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Edward Cole and Eva Odell Cosby Cole, her brother Elbert Cole, and sisters Marie Ross and Yvonne Shock.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 15, 2026, from 11:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. at Greenhill Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will follow at 12:00 P.M. in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Miles Stutts officiating. Pallbearers will be Tony Cole, Mike Green, Jeff Green, Isaac Canerday, Gary Ross, and Quint Glover.
Greenhill Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
