Jimmy Bland Mullins, age 83, of Loretto, TN, passed away on February 15, 2025. He was a man of many talents and passions, having served in the United States Army for 6 years and later retiring from General Motors to the family farm. Jimmy was a dedicated farmer, soldier, carpenter, mechanic, and outdoorsman. He had a love for bluegrass and country music, old tractors, engines, and feeding the birds. His warm and humorous personality endeared him to many, and he was always willing to lend a helping hand to others.
Jimmy’s faith was an integral part of his life, having been saved and baptized at Loretto Baptist Church in his childhood. His passing has brought the family closer together, sparking many gospel conversations and glorifying God through it all.
He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Joyce Mullins, three sons, three step-daughters, three sisters, one brother, four grandchildren, and eight step-grandchildren. Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, and two brothers.
A funeral service will be held at Loretto Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at 1:00 pm, with visitation prior to the service. Burial will follow in Bishop Chapel Cemetery.
Jimmy’s legacy of hard work, humor, and faith will be cherished by all who knew him. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. May he rest in peace.
