John Larry Polly, 77, of Pulaski, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, May 26th, 2025, at St. Thomas Rutherford in Murfreesboro. He was born on November 4th, 1947, in Pulaski, Tennessee. Larry was the beloved owner and operator of Pulaski Furniture for over 30 years. He was a dedicated member of the PES board for over a decade and a faithful member of the First Baptist Church. An avid golfer and local member of Hillcrest County Club, Larry cherished spending time with his family, spoiling his grandchildren, and teaching them sports after his retirement.
Larry is survived by his wife, Linda Polly of Pulaski, TN; son, John Michael (Cecilia) Polly of Burns, TN; daughter, Melinda Leigh (Bob) Tate of Stella, TN; 2 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; sister, Francis Henson of Mt. Juliet, TN; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Morgan and Mary Francis Harrison Polly, and sister, Dorothy “Dottie” Dean.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 30th, from 12:00pm until 2:00pm at Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home, followed by the funeral service at 2:00pm in the chapel. The burial will take place in Maplewood Cemetery.
