Kristi Haygood Shollenberger

Kristi Haygood Shollenberger, 52, of Florence, passed away May 20, 2024, at her residence.  She graduated from Brooks High School and went on to further her basketball career at North West Shoals (Phil Campbell) & the University of North Alabama.  Kristi started her teaching career at Kilby Laboratory School and retired as a P.E. Teacher and coach at Wilson School.

She was a loving mother, wife, and grandmother who was fond of her dogs and rabbit.  In her free time, she enjoyed puzzles, Disney, thrifting, and sports.

Survivors include:

            Husband:  Brian Allen Shollenberger

            Father:  A.L. Haygood, Jr. (Susie).    

            Daughters:  Haley Shollenberger Stutts (Matthew), Hannah Grace Shollenberger, &

                                    Hayden Leigh Shollenberger

            Sister:  Jill Haygood Farris

            Grandchild:  Hayes Parkes Stutts

            Nephew:  Jake Farris

Preceded in death by:

            Mother:  Sondra Littrell Haygood

            Brother-in-law:  Randy Farris

Visitation will be on Saturday, May 25, 2024, from 11:00am – 2:00pm, at Lone Cedar Church of Christ.  The funeral service will follow at 2:00pm, at the church, with Bro. Tim Grigsby officiating.  Burial will be at Lone Cedar Cemetery. 

Pallbearers will be:  Matthew Stutts, Jake Farris, David Haygood, Heath Barrett, Kim Littrell,

Corey Daughtery & Kirk Littrell.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Florence Lauderdale Animal Shelter or an animal shelter/rescue of your choice

Greenhill Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
