The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Office in Alabama has revealed plans to honor the late Deputy John Randall McCrary by inscribing his name on the National Law Enforcement Memorial located in Washington, D.C. This tribute will take place during National Police Week, which is set to commence on May 11.
Deputy McCrary tragically passed away on February 28 of the previous year due to complications stemming from gunshot wounds he incurred while delivering commitment papers just weeks earlier. In a show of support for McCrary’s family, donations are being accepted at any Bank Independent branch to assist with travel expenses, enabling them to attend the memorial ceremony.
