Lila Glynn Gobbell, 84, of Lawrenceburg, TN, passed away on January 31, 2025. Born on March 9, 1940, in Lawrence County, TN, Lila was a graduate of Wayne County High School. She married Harold Gene Gobbell in 1960 and worked at the Kay Windsor Company for twenty years before retiring. Lila was a talented pianist and enjoyed singing gospel music with her family. She was an active member of the Lawrence County Genealogical Society and had a passion for painting with acrylics and genealogy research.
Lila is survived by her daughter, Lisa Gobbell Talbert; son, Lane Gobbell; grandsons, Wade Gobbell and Jack Gobbell; great-grandchildren, Crosby, Clark, and Nelly Gobbell; brother, James Lowell McGee; sisters, Barbara Tucker, Brenda Irvin, Sandy Lawson, Jill Tucker, and Jan Penix; sister-in-law, Brenda Oliver; and dear friend, Kathy Neidergeses.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, her parents, three brothers, and two sisters.
The family will receive friends at Neal Funeral Home on February 5, 2025, with funeral services to follow, officiated by Jonathan Penix. Interment will be at Lawrence County Memorial Gardens. Condolences can be sent through the funeral home’s website.
