Margarett Wunner, 88, of Lawrenceburg, TN, passed away on May 26, 2025, at Southern TN Regional Health System. She was a beloved member of the community, retired from Kaye’s Country Store, and a dedicated homemaker. Margarett was also a cherished member of Pulaski Street Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Mildred Luna Lopp, her husband, Robert H. “Bobby” Wunner, her sister, Mary “Tootsie” Pennington Williams, and her brother, Edd Lopp, Sr.
Margarett is survived by her two sons, Bobby A. Wunner (Debbie) of Shelbyville, TN, and Tony W. Wunner (Shelia) of Lawrenceburg, TN. She also leaves behind five grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, seven step-great-grandchildren, and eight step-great-great-grandchildren. Additionally, she is survived by her brothers, George Lopp (Daphy) of Lawrenceburg, TN, and Thomas Lopp (Kathy) of Royal Oak, MI, as well as several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Neal Funeral Home on May 29, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at Neal Funeral Home on May 30, 2025, at 1:00 PM, with interment to follow at Lawrence County Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Margarett will be dearly missed by all who knew her. May she rest in peace.
