Peggy Jo Dean Mitchell, 83, of St. Joseph, passed away on May 27, 2025, at NHC Scott in Lawrenceburg, TN. Peggy was a retired line worker from Dura and a devoted member of Mary’s Chapel Nazarene Church.
She is survived by her sons, Tony Dean (Cathy) and Jeff Dean (Rosie), daughter-in-law Kathie Dean, five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, Roy Owen Springer and Velma Pauline Thigpen Springer, her husbands Roy Dean and Levon Mitchell, her son Charles Dean, and her sisters Marie Carroll, June Springer, and Brenda Springer.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 30, 2025, from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM at Greenhill Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel with Marcus Wilson officiating. Peggy will be laid to rest at St. Joseph Cemetery.
The pallbearers will be Sam Dean, John Will Dean, Wesley Dean, Hayden Dean, Hoyt Dean, and Henry Augustin, with Jim Nuss serving as an honorary pallbearer.
