Margie Elaine McMillan, age 73, of Pulaski, passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at Pulaski NHC. Margie was born on June 10, 1951, in Monroe, Louisiana, to Monroe and Arlittie Johnson Knox. She and her husband James were the former owners of Sonic Drive In for 33 years. After their retirement, she enjoyed watching cooking shows and her favorite western Gun Smoke. Margie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 47 years James McMillan, brother Earl E. Knox, and sisters Evelyn Sue McDow and Patricia Shipley.
She is survived by her sons, Tim McMillan (Tabatha) of Lawrenceburg, and Bobby McMillan of Pulaski; brothers, Roger Knox of Prospect, James Knox of Alabama, Harold Knox of Pulaski, and Karl Knox of Pulaski; sisters, Lillie Bell Gilbert, Helen Bennett, and Linda Hargrove, all of Louisiana; grandchildren, Rylee McMillan, Carli McMillan, and three step-grandchildren; great-grandchildren, Nevaeh McMillan, and eleven step-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 11am to 1pm on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at Carr & Erwin Funeral Home, with the funeral to follow at 1pm. The interment will take place in Giles Memory Gardens.
Margie will be dearly missed by her family and friends, and her memory will live on in their hearts. May she rest in peace.
