Marion Fred Wisdom, 83, of Harrison, Arkansas, passed away on June 6, 2025, at his home. Marion was a dedicated law enforcement officer, serving his community with honor and distinction. He was a Vietnam era veteran of the Air Force and a 1973 graduate of the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia. Marion’s commitment to public service extended beyond his professional life, as he spent over a decade mentoring youth as a Little League and Babe Ruth baseball coach and as a Scoutmaster for the Boy Scouts of America, Troop 496, in Loretto.
Marion will be remembered for his kindness, humility, and generous spirit. He was a devoted member of the Baptist faith and was affiliated with various organizations, including the Fraternal Order of Police, the American Legion, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the FBI National Academy Associates. In his leisure time, Marion enjoyed woodworking, reading, and fishing.
Marion is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Neva Cain Wisdom, his son Jeffrey Frederick Wisdom, daughter-in-law Rebecca Ann Wisdom, four step-grandchildren, and seven step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marion Franklin and Emma Frances Wisdom, his infant daughter Dawn Lynette Wisdom, his brother James Wisdom, and his sisters Ruth Phillips and Wilma Luebberke.
A visitation with the family will be held at Loretto Memorial Chapel on Saturday, June 14, 2025, followed by a graveside service and burial with military honors at Restview Cemetery. Marion’s son, Jeff Wisdom, will officiate the service, and he will be laid to rest by pallbearers Jeff Wisdom, Rick Cain, Randy Cain, Jacob Cain, Kyler Cain, and Brandon White.
Marion will be deeply missed by all who knew him, and his legacy of service and compassion will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
